Play by Ear is an ear training app for musicians. Your privacy is important to us, and we've built the app to work entirely on your device without collecting personal information.

Data we collect

Play by Ear does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

• No account or login is required.
• No personal information (name, email, location, etc.) is collected.
• No analytics, crash reporting, or tracking services are used.
• No data is sent to any server.

Local storage

Your settings and saved presets are stored locally on your device using standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

In-app purchases

Play by Ear offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock additional features. This transaction is processed entirely by Google Play. We do not receive or store any payment information. Google's handling of purchase data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party service involved is Google Play for in-app purchases.

Children's privacy

Play by Ear is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
